Since you don't need the Spirit, the source of all things you find remains your hidden deep sin (they're only foolishness, sharing the same nature of the failure), which you pretty much don't want revealed to yourself because it would ruin the self-deception, the lie that makes you taste what it feels like to be a "winner".
